Edging Past Reality

Marta Stephens'
The Devil Can Wait
Susan,
ReplyDeleteI like the cover for "The Little Pot." Hope this is where I'm supposed to vote.
Martha
I vote for Secrets to Die For.
ReplyDeleteAn intriguing cover.
It was a tough choice, but I pick Dark Knowledge by Keith Pyeatt.
ReplyDeleteOf course, I like my own cover here, but Edging toward reality really takes me. It gets my vote. Steven Clark Bradley
ReplyDeleteIf I'm only allowed one vote, I vote for Dead Witness.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite cover is The Ezekial Code. But I have to say my favorite, title is The Pirate who lost his ARRH. Very funny!
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever idea and thanks so much for including my cover here as well. :)
ReplyDeleteMy vote goes to Edging Toward Reality.
Edging Past Reality for adult cover. The Little Pot for children's cover art.
ReplyDeleteMany fine covers here, and a lovely idea you had to show them again.
I vote for the Devil Can Wait.
ReplyDeleteI've got to go with "The Little Pot." I love that one!
ReplyDeleteEdging Past Reality
ReplyDeleteJ M Cornwell
I vote for Secrets to Die For. It makes me want to read it because of the mysterious cover. What secrets are hiding behind the doors????
ReplyDeleteI think I will go for The Devil Can Wait.
ReplyDeleteIt looks very dark and sinister!!
Cheers,
Eileen
I'm drawn to the dark hint of violence in The Devil Can Wait.
ReplyDeleteSusan,
ReplyDeleteI vote for the cover of Vernon and the Snake. The cover shows Vernon's cocky attitude. I haven't read this one but would like to after seeing the cover!
Very difficult to choose, but I vote for Nowhere to Hide. That mysterious looking old house really seems to go with the title.
ReplyDeleteThanks for including my cover, which I love! But I'm going to vote for Pretty Is as Pretty Dies. What is scarier than a gaggle of garden gnomes?
ReplyDeleteMy favorites are definitely The Pirate..., Pretty Is..., Edging Past Reality, and Dark Knowledge. If I had to choose one, it would be Dark Knowledge.
ReplyDeleteI'm for The Little Pot. It just has a sweetness about it and I am hoping to get gardening in sometime this week! Iona McAvoy
ReplyDeleteThe Little Pot wins the kids section for me. Simple and cute.
ReplyDeleteFor the others it was harder to decide. I'll vote for Dark Knowledge (powerful image that fits teh title nicely) but also very much liked Edging Toward Reality and Pretty Is as Pretty Dies.
I liked "Tortured Skin" best.
ReplyDelete- Clive at Citiria Publishing
LIttle Pot and Deceptive Clarity
ReplyDeleteAside from my own, (SYMMETRY) I like GHOST ORCHID the best.
ReplyDeleteSusan, thanks for posting my cover. I can vote for "Deceptive Clarity" because Linda Houle, L&L Dreamspell, designed it.
ReplyDeleteAll the covers are eye-catching and intriguing.
Betty Gordon
Of course I like my cover, but as a collector of Tom Clarl gnomes there is no question - Pretty is as Pretty Dies gets my vote.
ReplyDeleteLynette Hampton
Best children's cover: The Pirate who lost his Arrrr (Just because I love the title and the illustration)
ReplyDeleteBest adult book: Dark Knowledge... but then I'm horribly biased!
It was a tough call, but I have to go with The Devil Can Wait.
ReplyDeleteSusan,
ReplyDeleteYou have so many great covers here, it's difficult to select just one. Four caught my eye right away - Vernon and the Snake, secrets to Die For, Dead Witness, and Ghost Orchid. Hope it's okay to vote for two - Vernon for the kids section because it is playful and Ghost Orchid for adults because it's beautiful.
Hi Susan,
ReplyDeleteI vote for Dead Witness.
Hey, I've given you an award. Visit my blog to pick it up.
Thanks for the award, Anne. I appreciate it very much.
ReplyDeleteI hope this is how you want us to vote for the cover. I'd select Dark Knowledge, by Keith Pyeatt
ReplyDeleteI like a fairly clean look for a cover, so for the children's cover I'd pick "The Little Pot". For the adult's cover I'm torn between "Edging Past Reality" and "Dead Witness". I'm pulled toward the simplicity of the lone tree landscape. There's a deceptive calm about it that's appropriately eery. Yes, I think my vote goes to "Dead Witness". :)
ReplyDeleteAll great covers! But Keith Pyeatt's Dark Knowledge gets my vote.
ReplyDeleteCourting Kathleen Hannigan for sure! Bold, bright and beautiful just like the heroine.
ReplyDeleteI vote for Courting Kathleen Hannigan. Really gets you into the book.
ReplyDeleteI think it's difficult to make a choice because of the different categories (at least it is for me). Thanks for the votes for Ghost Orchid; I'm still making my decision, influenced by the comments by others. I'd like to vote for one for adult and one for children.
ReplyDeleteThe Little Pot is my choice for the children's cover.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't able to break it down between two adult covers. I want both Secrets to Die For and The Ezekial Code.
The Little Pot and Courting Kathleen Hannigan
ReplyDeleteI vote for James C. Gillen's Tortured Skin, but I might be a bit partial. Good luck to everyone.
ReplyDeleteJames
Being that I'd feel really tacky voting for my own cover, I have to go with "The Devil Can Wait."
ReplyDeleteThanks for including me, Susan : )
Courting Kathleen Hannigan is strong and eye-catching!
ReplyDeleteIf only one, Courting Kathleen Hannigan. I did love The Little Pot.
ReplyDeleteTough to pick just one...
ReplyDeleteThe Devil Can Wait (oddly enough, because i like that font best!)
So many beautiful covers! I'm partial to Ghost Orchid.
ReplyDeleteSo many wonderful covers, it's hard to choose. But I'm partial to The Devil Can Wait by Marta Stephens! ;o)
ReplyDeleteBy a very objective process of elimination, Ashes
ReplyDeleteSusan,
ReplyDeleteI'm voting for "The Pirate Who Lost His AARRR" in the children's section, and "No Where to Hide" in the adult.
It was a difficult choice, because each cover has its own appeal, but "No Where to Hide" just looked sooo sinister:)
Loretta
I like the cover Secrets to Die For in the adult book, but also The Little Pot.
ReplyDeleteNowhere to hide gets my vote because the wintry scene gives me chills before I even open the book.
ReplyDeleteNatalie - Hawaii
My favorite is Keith Pyeatt's Dark Knowledge!
ReplyDeleteSusan,
ReplyDeleteI like the cover for "Edging Past Reality."
Claire
I like Dead Witness. If you have been to Prince George, you will know why.
ReplyDeleteLove the surreal feel and the drama of Edging Past Reality.
ReplyDeleteI vote for Nowhere To Hide, although I do like the pirate one for kids.

Ghost Orchid definitely has my vote. Simple and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHi Susan,
ReplyDeletePicking a favorite was hard, but I vote for "The Devil Can Wait."
The title and author names popped out at me as did the graphics. The cover was not cluttered.
Also, thanks for your nice comments about my novel "Fresh Frozen" on my blog during "Blog Jog Day." I enjoyed being interviewed by you!
I like Dead Witness, the starkness of the cover intrigues me.

Deceptive Clarity or Pretty is as Pretty Dies. Both grabbed my attention as I scrolled through.
ReplyDeleteGreat collection.
Hard to choose but I think "Edging Past Reality" for an adult book is very strong and eye catching.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all your support of authors and the books they create!
