Since we made it through December 21, 2012, Christmas, and New Year's, I feel like it's time to renew. I've taken down all (tons and tons) of the Christmas decorations and turned my mantel into a Valentine so that I could continue to leave the gorgeous red velvet bow on the mirror for a while longer.
I don't often go to great lengths for Valentine's Day except for a few cards to loved ones and maybe a few cupcakes too.
I dearly love my family and wish them all a wonderful year with me included as much as possible. I have a wonderful husband, two sons, three grandsons, and two beautiful daughters-in-law that I love very much.
I know how blessed I am to have them and their support not only as Honey, Mama, and Gran but I'm also blessed in the extended family arena with tons of pals and friends who go all the way back to childhood.
Thanks to all of you who read this blog, buy my books, spread the word about them, and count me as a friend. I am reading a few books from my TBR basket and mulling conflicts and obstacles I want to use in my fifth Logan Hunter book, set in Beaufort, North Carolina. There's a love story developing which keeps me from focusing on the crime as much as I think I should, be we writers also know that the characters lead us where they want us to go.
My questions to you: Where have your characters led you that came as a surprise? Did you struggle or go with the flow? In the end, did it all come together for you?
